Around 43 doctors from two hospitals in West Bengal have resigned as the protest enters in the fourth day. Sixteen doctors of the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata have submitted their resignation to the health department of the West Bengal government.
In a letter signed by the 16 doctors, the doctors have said they are unable to discharge their duties in the current situation in the state. The letter says, “In response to prevailing situation as we are unable to provide service, we would like to resign from our duty.”

Around 27 doctors from North Bengal Medical College and Hospital in Darjeeling also resigned on Friday. Yesterday, principal and medical superintendent of the NRS Medical College and Hospital submitted their resignation.
The protest has been spread all over the country and doctors around the nation are participating in the protest.
