Punjab CM Captain Amrinder Singh accepts Navjot Singh Sidhu’s resignation

A few days back Navjot Singh Sidhu resigned from his ministerial post and submitted his resignation to Rahul Gandhi and Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amrinder Singh. However, now his resignation has been accepted and the same has now been sent to the Governor of Punjab Vijayender Pal Singh Badnore for approval.

Amrinder Singh on Tuesday said that he will decide on the resignation after going through the contents of his letter and will look into it after he finishes the meeting which has been lined up in Delhi.

Disclosing this here on Saturday, an official spokesperson said Captain Amarinder, who had been indisposed for the last two days, since arrival from Delhi, saw the resignation letter this morning. The letter, however, was just a single sentence tendering Sidhu’s resignation, with no explanation or elaboration, said the spokesperson to India.com.

Sidhu submitted his resignation to Rahul Gandhi on June 10, however, he posted the letter on Twitter in July.
