Chief Electoral Officer, Gopal Krishna Dwivedi, said thanks to the voters for carrying out the process with excitement. He expressed gratitude toward the authorities, police, race staff, CRPF powers, ideological groups, NCC, challenging hopefuls and all offices that all-encompassing their collaboration in smooth polling process.
After creating a history of sorts by conducting polling till midnight, the total polling recorded was 76.69% in the State.
Both Vizianagaram and Prakasam locale recorded 85% polling, while Kadapa and Visakhapatnam enrolled 70%. In correlation, the absolute polling was 74% in joined Andhra Pradesh in 2014 general decisions. In Andhra Pradesh, the state turnout was 76.80%.
In the interim, courses of action for the counting are being made. The counting focuses would be set up in schools and college grounds. Contingent on the area and prerequisite, the tallying focuses would extend somewhere in the range of one and six for each region. The counting would happen at 55 centers situated at 34 areas. The counting is scheduled for May 23.
